Quality Assurance
Position Overview:
Provide quality assurance for eSavV products and services. Demonstrate the sophisticated and creative thinking that our advanced software solutions require for testing. ISTQB certifications or equivalent certifications are preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct software compatibility tests with programs, hardware, operating systems, or network environments.
- Create or maintain databases of known test defects.
- Design test plans, scenarios, scripts, and procedures.
- Design or develop automated testing tools.
- Develop or specify standards, methods, or procedures to determine product quality or release readiness.
- Develop testing programs that address areas such as static analysis, cyclomatic complexity, fault-tolerance, operability, system testing, integration testing, regression testing, negative testing, boundary analysis, client-side scripting, server-side scripting, error or bug retests, and usability.
- Using a defect tracking system, document and manage defects , and report them to software developers.
- Monitor bug resolution efforts and track successes.
- Document test procedures to ensure that they can be replicated and that they comply with standards.
- Evaluate or recommend software for testing or bug tracking.
- Identify program deviance from standards, and suggest modifications to ensure compliance.
- Identify, analyze, and document problems with program function, output, online screens, and content.
- Investigate customer problems referred by technical support.
- Participate in product design reviews to provide input on functional requirements, product designs, schedules, and potential problems.
- Perform initial debugging procedures by reviewing configuration files, logs, or code pieces to determine the source of breakdowns.
- Plan test schedules or strategies in accordance with project scope or delivery dates.
- Provide feedback and recommendations to developers on software usability and functionality.
- Test system modifications to prepare for implementation.
- Collaborate with field staff and customers to evaluate or diagnose problems and recommend possible solutions.
- Conduct historical analyses of test results.
- Review software documentation to ensure technical accuracy, compliance, and completeness, and to mitigate risks.
